Medmania Appoints Efren Toscano Chief Executive Officer of TechZulu

ANAHEIM – January 28, 2008 – Medmania announced today that Efren Toscano has been appointed CEO of TechZulu. Mr. Toscano previously served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing. He will report directly to Mel Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Medmania.
“Efren is a proven leader and has become an invaluable asset to the company,” said Vak Sambath, Chief Executive Officer of Medmania. “He understands the Southern California web community. This experience, coupled with his marketing expertise, will no doubt propel TechZulu into its next phase of growth.”

Mr. Toscano has been with Medmania since 2005, most recently running the company’s marketing division where he oversaw consumer marketing and promotions. Prior to this, he served as a Marketing Manager, where he worked to secure branding opportunities for Medmania’s web properties.
Medmania recognizes that there is a real growth opportunity in serving editorial content about digital media companies in Southern California. The goal is to make TechZulu a hub for Southern California technology companies by profiling new startups and giving inside access to local news and events.
